Product Description
If you have birds, you know the headache of constant cleanup and how much seed is wasted. This feeder does away with scattered seeds and hulls; eliminating costly waste and making daily clean up a thing of the past. Some feeders have claimed "no scatter." Tidy Seed actually works. Hang the feeder inside or outside of the cage. Your bird enters and eats, leaving hulls and uneaten seed behind.

By Denny
I think the concept of the product is wonderful. That being said, this product has some specific flaws that needs to be corrected. My bird was extremely reluctant to go inside this feeder to eat when I mounted it inside the cage his attitude improved some when I placed it outside of the cage. The perch in this feeder is SLIPPERY, my bird can get a grip to even sit still to eat. PLEASE roughen up this perch or add a sand texture. The quality isn't that great as mine (Day 2) is separating from the plastic seam. I have a Cockatiel so he isn't that big or strong of a bird...please reinforce the seams with stronger adhesive or meld seams. Expensive for the price...all in all it's an okay product, but better suited for a price of $9.99.

By Andrew
I purchased this about 2 weeks ago for my two green cheek conures. They're not the brighest birds in the world, but they were happily eating from it within a few hours, after they got over being terrified of it. (They're terrified of everything, though. If I put on sunglasses they freak out and act like I'm a stranger.)
I agree with the other reviewers that the perch seems slippery, but so far my conures have not had an issue with it.
It seems overpriced, it's maybe a few dollars worth of plastic, but I don't care, because it works. The amount of scattered seed hulls and discarded pellets has been drastically reduced. I put my metal seed guard trays back on, switched to the Tidy Bird feeder, and installed door skirts (8" Black DoorSkirt Set **No More Newspaper Under Your Cage Door!) -- the mess is maybe 10% of what it used to be. I am thrilled.
Unfortunately this does not fit with the access doors on my cage, so I have to open the door and reach inside to add more food. My birds see as an opportunity to try to escape the cage, which is annoying when I'm trying to rush out the door to go to work.
I am thinking about ordering a second Tidy Bird for serving soft fruits, like strawberries and cherries, which my conures LOVE flinging all over the walls.
If I had a bigger bird, like a macaw, no way would I pay $75 for the larger size. I'd sooner try to build something similar myself.
Now if only my birds were smarter and would learn they can't get to the food from outside of the clear plastic box....

I have an itty-bitty zebra finch that could make the biggest bird seed mess you can imagine. Not anymore. This tidy bird no-mess feeder is exactly what it says... NO MESS! I tried to get a picture of him sitting inside the feeder, but haven't been successful as yet. If I am able to do that, I will post, or send it to you. Thank you so much!
