By Brian Galloway
I didn't purchase this through amazon, but from a local garden store. This is a good, solid window feeder for being under 30 dollars. I've had it for about a month and there's been lots of birds, mainly Finches and Cardinals, coming to the feeder all day. They found it very quickly. It is a good size, several birds can come to it at once, and holds quite a bit of seed. The amount of seed it holds tends to keep it filled quite awhile, around five days, and since it sits on the tray, it cannot be kicked out or wasted. Other feeders i've tried the seed is gone in about one day.
The only drawbacks are that the feeder is large enough to hold nuisance birds such as Doves, Pigeons, etc, and the plastic on the back of the feeder can intrude the view of the birds sometimes, compared to other feeders...
BUT, I would definitly recommened this item.

The feeder is as described, fastened quickly and easily, and attracted birds as advertised. However, our many windows are all multi-paned with wood framing, which allows squirrels to reach the feeder easily and eat most of the seeds. We've taken it down, fearing they would start chewing at the wood. It's not the fault of the feeder, but prospective buyers should be able to mount it on an expanse of glass large enough to make it difficult for squirrels to get to it.

The Duncraft Cardinal Classic Window Feeder is the right size to fit in my kitchen corner window and being held by three suction cups makes it more secure. Should it fall from the window, we are hopeful that the plastic will not crack. Previously we owned a similar window feeder that had three compartments and having one large compartment makes it easier to fill. This was a good buy for the money.
